The Office of the Registrar: Help! I Need My Old Learning Contract

Amanda Lagoe, assistant registrar

Did you know you may need your learning contract after completing the course? It’s true! Both current and past SUNY Empire students frequently contact the Office of the Registrar for assistance with obtaining copies of their old learning contracts. Students have many reasons for needing an old learning contract, such as transfer credit evaluation or proof of content covered for certification or employment. In all cases, the student was asked to provide a copy of the syllabus – the learning contract – for evaluation purposes.

Your learning contracts are available via MyESC even if you have graduated or are no longer taking courses with us. To access your learning contracts, follow the steps outlined below.

Step 1: Log into MyESC Student Home

Step 2: Select Registrar’s Office

Step 3: Select Academic Records

Step 4: Select Learning Contracts (Fall 2018 and beyond) or Learning Contracts (Pre-Fall 2018)

Step 5: Click on the purple LC button next to your course

Step 6: Use your web browser to print or save it as a .pdf file

While your learning contracts will remain accessible if you need them in the future, it is always helpful to save them and any supplemental course information (such as a weekly schedule) in a folder just in case you need them. Should you need to access your learning contracts in the future, and you can no longer log in to MyESC, contact our helpful IT Service Desk for log-in assistance.

If you have further questions about accessing your learning contracts or need assistance, don’t hesitate to contact the Office of the Registrar at RegistrarsOffice@esc.edu.
